Want to Have an Epic Life? Quit Taking Average Measures

ree

Coming off time off—like a honeymoon—can be rough. Your brain resists discipline, the alarm feels like torture, and dragging yourself back into action can feel impossible. For those in recovery, simply getting through a day can be earth-shattering.

But I want more. I know some of you do too.

When I came back from vacation, I scheduled key things in advance knowing I’d need external motivation. I didn’t just relax—I planned to launch back into meaningful action. And it worked.

While I was away, it hit me: if I want more vacations—if I want my work to make a national impact—I need to work exponentially harder. I could coast on current efforts, but ordinary success isn’t enough anymore.

I want extraordinary.

Why “Ordinary” Isn’t Enough Anymore

  • I want a career that changes lives.

  • I want rest that inspires awe.

  • I want vacations that rewrite my perspective—and fuel my ambition.
