Nate Wilson
Nate Wilson was born in Colorado Springs, CO and raised in Woodland Park, CO. Nate experienced many hard times growing up in high school including drug addiction, criminal behavior and mental health struggles. Nate has been clean for 11 years from meth and heroin, and been abstinent from alcohol for 4 years. Since Nate has turned his life around he has developed a passion for helping youth who are in a similar position that Nate was. Since choosing a better path, Nate has become certified as a personal trainer, peer recovery coach and started a mentorship program within New Visions Recovery Solutions. Nate has recently become a Fit and Healthy columnist for the Pikes Peak Courier and has also published a book about his journey through addiction and recovery called “Zero to Hero: The tale of my recovery from drug addiction and psychosis.” Nate enjoys spending time with his family, working out daily, writing, and helping others.
