The World Actually Wants Us to Succeed

ree

A few weeks back, I wrote about how we often create resistance—convincing ourselves we’re in a constant battle just to survive. But the truth is, our natural tendency is to thrive. When you aim for success, you’re not fighting the world—you’re learning to collaborate with it. Think of success as playing Tetris: finding where each piece fits so that everything aligns and you earn the reward.

Debunking the “They Said I Couldn’t” Narrative

We often see:

“They said I’d never make it, but look at me now.”“Haters hate—but I thrive anyway.”

But really—how many real haters do we have? Are they critics or just noisy keyboards? If you're creating value, not drama, you’ll gain more support than resistance. When critics exist, let them fuel you—not define you.

Don't Create Drama to Feel Alive

Sometimes, resistance becomes a justification:

  • If we fail, we can blame “haters.”

  • If we succeed, we can inflate small wins into huge triumphs.

But that mentality keeps us reactive instead of proactive. If you spend more energy on opponents than on your own path, your growth stalls.

Build Support by Leading Through Action

Chris Rock said it best:

“I’d always end up broken on the highway—trying to flag someone down. But when I pushed my own car, people came out to help. If you want help, help yourself—others want to see you try.”

People are drawn to action. They don’t rally around cries for rescue—they move toward effort.

Your Focus Determines Your Outcome

Criticism will come, yes. Sometimes you’ll need to protect your peace. Sometimes you’ll need to shut out noise. That’s healthy.

But most of the time, if you work hard and keep your direction clear, support will outpace detractors. Don’t chase drama—chase purpose.
